April 2025 News and Events

Hello, hello, hello!

After months of hibernating in the fabled cheese caves of Missouri, I am back and have so much to tell you!

First, cave cheese is not better than above-ground cheese. Arguably, it is harder to eat if your eyes are not acclimatized to the dark. Second, and more topically, St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE) is back for its third year of arts programming!

SLICE will return to the Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries on October 18, 2025, bringing together writers, artists, poets, and printmakers for St. Louis’s annual indie-print showcase. We can’t wait…and we don’t have to! Each month, we’ll be hosting free events and workshops. This April features a Portrait Party with Girl Louie, the return of Drink & Draws, and a Zine Lab with LGBTQ+ Rolla at Missouri S&T.

Last but not least, keep an eye out for exhibitor applications, which will be open June 1 through July 15. For more news, visit SLICE’s website and follow SLICE on InstagramBluesky, and Facebook.

From the depths of my Provel heart~

Love, love, love,
